No Elder Should Be Abandoned

India is experiencing a silent crisis of elderly abandonment. As children migrate to cities for work, ageing parents are left behind — alone, ill, and without income. In Rajasthan, the problem is acute in remote districts like Barmer, where there are virtually no government facilities for destitute seniors.

Sahaj Seva Sansthan's Old Age Home was established to provide a refuge of dignity and love. Our residents are not charity cases — they are our family. They are treated with the reverence our culture prescribes for elders, and they spend their days in comfort, companionship, and peace.

Services are provided free of charge for those without means. For residents with some means, we accept voluntary contributions based on capacity.
