Creating a Habitable GREEN Earth
Sahaj Seva Sansthan is a non-profit organization that initiates, develops, and manages reforestation and environmental conservation projects across India. We work with an ambitious goal to plant and care for trees and help people reduce their carbon footprint. Our only objective is to create a habitable GREEN Earth and a better world for the present and future generations. Our mission is to bring the focus back to the value and importance of the environment, nature protection, and conservation, working towards a sustainable green world. We work with individuals, corporate houses, educational institutions, social groups, communities, NGOs, and social entrepreneurs to bring positive change.
SSS is a professionally run group of ordinary people extraordinarily determined to protect the environment—not just by ourselves, but by sensitizing others towards environment conservation and encouraging them to participate in tree-plantation campaigns. Our group consists of passionate nature lovers who juggle corporate jobs during the week with their love for trees over the weekends. How We Plant
Annual Monsoon Plantation Drives
Every July–September, we mobilize 200+ volunteers for large-scale plantation drives across Barmer, Jaisalmer, and Jodhpur border areas. Each sapling is geo-tagged and monitored.
School Plantation Program
We partner with 30+ schools to plant trees on school grounds and engage students as "tree guardians", building environmental responsibility from childhood.
Highway & Roadside Plantation
Roadside trees reduce surface temperature, prevent soil erosion, and provide shade. We coordinate with Rajasthan PWD for highway plantation permissions.
Medicinal Herb Garden
We establish medicinal herb gardens in villages — tulsi, aloe vera, neem, ashwagandha — promoting traditional medicine and reducing healthcare costs for communities.
Seed Ball Distribution
Guerilla greening — we distribute seed balls made from native seeds, clay, and compost, allowing communities to toss them into barren land during the monsoon.
Drip Irrigation for Saplings
Water scarcity kills saplings before they can establish roots. We install low-cost drip irrigation systems to keep young trees alive through their critical first two years.
Trees We Plant
We plant only native, drought-resistant species that belong to this ecosystem — not ornamental trees that struggle to survive the Thar climate.
Khejri
खेजड़ीState tree of Rajasthan. Drought-resistant, provides shade and pods for cattle fodder.
Neem
नीमMultipurpose medicinal tree. Natural pesticide, purifies air, valuable timber.
Peepal
पीपलSacred and long-lived. Provides maximum oxygen, culturally significant in every village.
Rohida
रोहिड़ाRajasthan's state flower tree. Hardy, beautiful blooms, excellent for arid land restoration.
Sheesham
शीशमPremium timber and shade tree. Fast-growing, nitrogen-fixing, ideal for desert edges.
Desert Acacia
कीकरPioneer species for barren land. Stabilizes sand dunes and provides fodder for wildlife.
